LA LOCANDA
CHALLENGE
Set within one of Edinburgh's most iconic streets La Locanda were already highly acclaimed within the local restaurant scene. They invited us to look at their existing city centre restaurant to refresh the interior and guest experience for their loyal and valued customers. The space is particularly small but with big personality and we wanted to retain as much of the original Italian family heritage as possible.
APPROACH
We adopted a simple but sumptuous design style with a real focus on the detail and space saving solutions. The clean simple lines cut through the busy floor space and the original family portraits were curated for a modern feel. Bespoke details accentuated the unrivalled personal service at La Locanda and the attention to detail amplified with bespoke designed food and drink menu designs.
RESULTS
Guests can now dine in a modern Italian atmosphere with true authentic Italian roots and heritage intact. The traditional yet classic approach gives fresh appeal to a new audience yet remains warm and inviting for their regulars. We partnered with various trusted and talented contractors and suppliers to balance high quality with the right attitude!
