CHALLENGE
Bento came to us after securing their third unit in the new town village of Stockbridge in Edinburgh. Although well established as a local independent foodie favourite with two successful units, it was time to update their look starting fresh with a new concept that would still allow them to work with their much loved branding.
APPROACH
The creative concept was born from the beauty, simplicity and freshness of their fine sushi and hot bento. Keeping the traditional asian influence yet using it in a modern way with an urban twist reflected the ever evolving food menu, contemporary approach and city setting.
We translated their iconic brand icon and colours into a brand home turning their one dimensional logo into an atmospheric destination. Our brief was to create a takeaway that stood apart, we used contrast to create a bold pink shopfront giving impact on the street yet a peaceful serene space to eat.
RESULTS
As with all our projects we sourced the right skilled team, perfect for the bespoke nature of the project. We managed a close network of signwriters, signage manufacturers and shopfitters and worked seamlessly together to allow for a stress free experience for our client with a modern yet sophisticated space to grab a quick bite to enjoy indoors. Like asian cuisine, the design is well considered with huge attention to detail yet looks effortless.
